Laura is a native of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, but has called Siouxland home since 1985 when she began her undergraduate education at Morningside College. She graduated with the highest honors from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1994. Upon graduation from law school, Laura joined the law department of a Fortune 500 tech company, primarily advising the company’s marketing department on legal issues. From 1997 – 1999, Laura served as a law clerk to The Honorable Donald E. O’Brien, Senior Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. Upon completion of this clerkship, she joined the Crary Huff Law Firm and has been a partner since 2005.
Laura was admitted to practice in South Dakota in 1994 and in Iowa in 1995.
Laura is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the State Bar of South Dakota. She has been an active member of the Business Law Section of the Iowa State Bar Association.
Laura resides in Sioux City with her husband and two sons and is an avid fan of high school football, basketball and baseball. Laura actively volunteers with the Junior League of Sioux City and her church.
