Jonathan, a longtime Siouxland resident, graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa, College of Law in 2004 and was named to the Phi Delta Phi National Legal Honor Society. He was also a 2001 summa cum laude graduate of Morningside College, majoring in Criminal Justice.

While attending Morningside, he was named to the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, National Sociological Honor Society, Academic All North Central Conference Football Team, as well as being named to the Everest Society and a Second Century Scholar.

Jonathan served as a law clerk for Herman, Howry & Breen, LLP in Austin, Texas in 2002. He was admitted to practice law in Iowa in 2004. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar and Woodbury County Bar Associations and the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association. His general practice includes, but is not limited to, criminal defense and civil litigation.

He serves on the East High Foundation Board and the United Way Safety Net Community Impact Board. Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife Stacy and their daughter Amari and playing golf and billiards.
