Dennis is a lifelong Siouxland resident. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, College of Law in 1980 after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1976.

Dennis joined the firm in 1980 and practices primarily in divorce, child custody, child support and family law. He is a member of the Iowa State (section of Family and Juvenile Law), Nebraska State and Woodbury County Bar Associations. He has served as a board member for the Council On Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. Dennis is a member of the Iowa Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Child Support Guidelines.

Dennis enjoys college football and basketball, fishing, computers and spending time with his children, Jeff and Jenni.
