Employment Law Attorney/Practice Leader

Crary Huff Law Firm is seeking an attorney with 5+ years of relevant experience to lead the Firm’s employment law practice at its downtown Sioux City, Iowa office. The attorney will assist clients with creating the clear policies, intuitive strategies and business-oriented solutions needed to grow an efficient and productive workforce.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Advise employers on a wide range of employment laws and regulations.  
  • Review and draft employer policies, employee handbooks, contracts and other documents.  
  • Review and advise on employer practices and day-to-day decisions.   
  • Create workable solutions to complex employment problems. 
  • Represent employers in court, and in administrative, mediation and arbitration proceedings.  

Skills and Educational Requirements:   

  • JD from ABA-accredited law school. 
  • Admitted to practice law in Iowa or ability to quickly gain admission. 
  • 5+ years of employment law experience. 
  • Knowledge of relevant court and administrative procedures, and federal, state, and local employment laws.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational and time-management skills.   
  • Commitment to professionalism and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
