Mike is a lifelong resident of South Sioux City, Nebraska and a 1991 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, College of Law. Mike received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State College in 1985. Prior to joining the Crary Huff Law Firm in 1993, Mike served as a Deputy Dakota County Attorney and a probation officer for the State of Nebraska.
Mike specializes in corporate municipal law and represents the cities of South Sioux City, Dakota City and Hubbard, Nebraska; Castana, Onawa, Rodney, Ute, Sloan, Salix, Blencoe, Turin, Hornick, Whiting and Mapleton, Iowa. Mike also has extensive experience in personal injury and wrongful death litigation and has recovered several substantial settlements and verdicts in that area of his practice. Mike handles all areas of litigation and has experience in insurance defense and representing various insurance companies.
Mike was admitted to practice law in Nebraska in 1991, in Iowa in 1997 and South Dakota in 2004. Mike is currently the chairperson of the Mental Health Board of the Sixth Judicial District of Nebraska. Mike maintains memberships in the Nebraska Association of Trial Lawyers, Nebraska State (Section of Government Practice) and the Iowa State (Section of Government Practice) Bar Associations. Mike is also a member of the Iowa Municipal Attorneys Association, Woodbury County, Dakota County Bar Associations and the Nebraska Council of School Attorneys. Mike served as past president of the Dakota County Bar Association.
Mike resides in South Sioux City and has two children. He is involved in various civic and charitable organizations including the Little Centinel Football Program in South Sioux City Nebraska. Mike’s personal interests include working out at the local YMCA, boating, motorcycling and camping.
