Sharese has been in the Siouxland tri-state region for over 25 years. She graduated summa cum laude from Briar Cliff. She graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2005 in the top 10% of her class. During her tenure in law school she was Class President, a member of Sterling Honor’s Society and R.D. Hurd Volunteer Law Society. She also obtained her Master of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources and is currently working on her Master of Science in Public Administration with an emphasis in Criminal Justice Studies. You could say she is a life-long learner and is always adding a depth of education and knowledge to her plethora of experience. This translates to added value for her clients.
Sharese has extensive experience handling divorces, custody cases, modifications, child support cases, criminal defense, business litigation, worker’s compensation, employment law, corporate/business law, real estate, and estate planning. She has successfully argued in front of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Courts and Court of Appeals of both Iowa and Nebraska. She strongly believes in developing a positive relationship with her clients through open communication and setting realistic expectations. While most matters may often be settled outside of the courtroom, she is not afraid to fight in the courtroom when her client’s needs require it and strive for the very best results possible.
Community involvement and serving others is very important to Sharese. She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, South Dakota Bar Association and Woodbury County Bar Association. She also serves on the Board for Junior League and Women Aware. She is a past board member of Nebraska Boys and Girls Home, Community Action Agency and Habitat for Humanity. She was instrumental in establishing the Veteran’s Court in Woodbury County, Iowa which began accepting participants in January of 2015.
