We routinely assist clients with the acquisition and sale of developed and undeveloped properties including residential, commercial and agricultural properties. We also regularly assist residential and commercial developers with the development of the residential subdivisions and commercial centers that serve the Siouxland region. We often advise utility companies and municipalities regarding the acquisition of easements and rights-of-way. We have assisted publicly traded companies with identifying, assembling and acquiring sites for expansion and development. Darrell A. Jesse
Darrell is a South Dakota native and grew up in Madison and Hartford, South Dakota. He completed undergraduate studies in accounting at the University of South Dakota in 1985 and went on to graduate from the University of South Dakota, School of Law in 1988. Darrell joined the firm in 1994 and prior to that, served as Director of Loan Origination/Legal Counsel for the South Dakota Governors Office of Economic Development.
Cody M. McCullough
Cody graduated with high distinction from the University of Iowa Law School in 1996. He obtained his undergraduate degree in 1993 from the same institution, also graduating with honors and distinction. His practice includes, but is not limited to, real estate, business and corporate law. Cody was an adjunct instructor in the Business Administration Department of Morningside College from 1998-1999.
Laura D. Schmitt
Laura is a native of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and came to Siouxland as a Morningside College student. After graduating with honors from Morningside in 1989, Laura went on to be named a Sterling Honor graduate at the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1994, where she also served as Editor-in Chief of the South Dakota Law Review. Laura is a shareholder and works primarily out of the firm’s Sioux City office.
Jeremy B. Saint
Jeremy Saint is a shareholder in the Firm’s transactional group. Jeremy’s practice focuses primarily on Real Estate Transactions & Development, Contracts, and Commercial Law & Creditor’s Rights in Bankruptcy. He currently licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa in both the state and federal courts.
